Intro to Group Riding Clinic
UPDATE: TIME CHANGE. Clinic will now be held from 1-3pm, to allow for participants to engage in their usual Saturday morning training.
We will be hosting an Intro to Group Riding clinic on Saturday, July 31st, from 1-3pm. No one is too new to cycling to attend this clinic, as it is skills-focused, and there is no need to fear being ‘dropped’ by the group. The majority of intermediate riders will also greatly benefit from this session.
Topics include: rules of the road for cyclists, playing nicely in traffic, cycling etiquette (the stuff you usually have to learn the hard way!), communication within the group, eating/drinking on the bike, and an introduction to various types of pacelines and group riding formations.
If you’ve attended one of my Jack & Adam’s shop ride clinics, this session will be much more in-depth. We’ll begin with a lecture component that includes many visual aids, a Q&A session, practice session off-the-bike, and finally roll out as a group to practice new-found skills. You will leave this session with a high level of cycling confidence that will lead you further down the road toward your personal cycling goals!
What to bring: Your bike, helmet, cycling shoes, 2 water bottles, snack, and desire to learn!
Location: Deck at Jack & Adam’s Bicycles
Cost: $25/person
Register: RSVP to this email.
